…win friends with sal-ad…you can’t win friends with SAL-AD! the famous Homer once sang (the one from Springfield, not ancient Greece). We tend to think otherwise…all those greens we bought yesterday turned into a nice big dinner salad along with shallots (Providence farmer’s market), cherry tomatoes (which we thought were from Plainfield, CT but were packed in Plainfield, CT- so we messed up there because they don’t say where they come from!), chives from the garden, hard boiled egg and marigolds (also from the garden). The marigolds add a citrus-y type flavor and are a welcome addition since most citrus is off the list…dressing was olive oil and raspberry vinegar which we already had on-hand. Otherwise, Day 2 was almost a repeat of yesterday…strawberries, hard-boiled egg, leftover clams and more greens found their way into our bellies.
